College of Santa Fe 473-6011, www.csf.edu At 1600 St. Michael's Drive, College of Santa Fe is a small, private, liberal-arts college with graduate and undergraduate programs. Special facilities include the Garson Communication Center (for film studies), a visual-arts center and the 500-seat Greer Garson Theater. Institute of American Indian Arts 424-2300, www.iaia.edu 83 Avan Nu Po Road, 2.7 miles south of the Santa Fe Community College, IAIA, offers degrees in art and fine art, including two- and three-dimensional studies, creative writing and museum studies. New Mexico Highlands University (505) 428-1742, www.nmhu.edu/santafe This division, at Santa Fe Community College, 6401 Richards Ave., is ideal for the working adult. Bachelor's and master's degree programs are available in business and education. There are also teacher-licensure programs. St. John's College 984-6000, www.sjcsf.edu. At 1160 Camino de la Cruz Blanca, St. John's is a four-year, independent, liberal-arts college. The school offers one bachelor's-degree program, largely nonelective, focusing on classic western culture and following the heralded Great Books program. Two masters' degrees are available in liberal Arts and Eastern classics. Santa Fe Community College 428-1273, www.sfccnm.edu At 6401 Richards Ave., SFCC boasts the city's largest enrollment. This public, two-year school issues certificates and associate degrees for $26.50 per credit hour for district residents. Students may begin degree programs and receive occupational and vocational training. Additionally, the college offers several night and weekend programs. Many interesting noncredit subjects are available at a reasonable cost. University of New Mexico, Santa Fe 428-1234, http://e-unm.unm.edu. On the campus of Santa Fe Community College, UNM-Santa Fe offers master's degrees in public administration and in educational administration. Bachelor's degrees are offered in nursing, speech and hearing sciences and university studies. Additional courses are offered in other areas of study. At 2201 Miguel Chavez Road in the Holley Office Building, the university specializes in improving the skills of working professionals in business and other fields; offers both bachelor's and master's degrees. v
