Water is a precious and scarce commodity in Santa Fe. The city's Sangre de Cristo Water Co., 801 W. San Mateo Road, 954-7199, provides free water-conservation classes designed to reduce home water use and lower water bills. It also offers the following suggestions for further conservation:
Santa Fe is a beautiful place to get married, and it's simple to apply for a license. Both bride and groom need a driver's license or passport, and proof of Social Security numbers.

To enroll in school for the first time, your child must be at least 5 years old by Sept. 1 of the current school year. To find out which school your child should attend, call 467-2000.
For those who relish the changes of the four seasons, Santa Fe is truly a wonderland. Sometimes it seems that Santa Fe weather consists of all four seasons in one day.

Santa Fe is a city of museums. Exhibits change constantly, so there's always something new to view. Many people get yearly passes to museums that charge for admittance.
Many opportunities exist for community involvement through volunteering. Positions require a serious commitment to a program and provide a chance to interact in the arts, civic affairs, education, the environment, animal welfare and health and human services. Some of these volunteer positions require orientation, training and screening.
