Now, on to business. I've never understood what makes this person famous. What exactly has she done in society to become famous? I am aware of the night vision porno, but she was already famous before that. Besides being rich, does she possess any other "qualities"? From what I hear, she obviously didn't have any acting ability in her movie or etiquette when she answered the phone mid-scene.
Now I paid very little attention to this entire Hilton trail escapade because frankly, I tried to not to care about what happened. I believed like with most "celebrities" like OJ, that absolutely nothing would happen to her.
When I found out she was sentenced to 45 days, I was happy because it sent a small message that as broke as our judicial system is, it isn't completely wrong. However, I was sure something was about to destroy my minute faith in the law. It did very quickly.
Then her sentence was cut in half and she would be removed from general population. I thought it would teach her a perminant lesson to deal with other convicts if even for two weeks. For someone so spoiled, several good butt-whippings at minimal would teach her that she couldn't get away with whatever she wanted, especially that BS story about her publicist not telling her about the law (please, honey, ignorance is not a valid excuse).
For whatever "medical" reason, she was allowed to go home after several days. Although I was angry, I promised myself I wouldn't get angry because this was out of my control and I should focus on other issues that I could control.
This morning, I wake up to find that she was back in jail. Some people might call me sick, but a smile came over my face when I heard that she was sobbing and screaming when they dragged her off to jail again. What I truly loved was her crying about this not being fair.
You'd like to think that a 26 year old would know that the world isn't fair. Is it fair that so many people in the world are starving right now? Is it fair that people in the Middle East live in constant fear of suicide bombers? Is it fair that teachers are paid less than pro athletes? No it isn't. News flash Paris: You've had it easy for 26 years, is 45 days without all of your luxury items going to kill you? Well, maybe I should reword that. Is 45 days without all of your luxury items going to be the end of the world? I seriously doubt it. Who knows? Maybe when this is done, you might come out of this with actual human qualities other than partying and sleeping around.
