This week WalkStyles, Inc. WeWhoWalk Tour second city event met with perfect weather and great enthusiasm.
60 Santa Fe walkers showed up for the event.
"“We thank everyone for participating in our Santa Fe walk on Thursday. The 60 walkers enjoyed a lovely morning together. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the sights of Santa Fe on the safe and scenic 5-mile walk route, as well as companionship and networking with one another. We look forward to the next stop on our WeWhoWalk™ tour in Richmond, Virginia on June 15th.”", says Sue Larsen, Vice President of WalkStyles, Inc.
The event, which will visit 50 states over 50 weeks spreads the message of wellness through walking. UnitedHealthcare is the main sponsor of the “WeWhoWalk” tour in 2007. The next stop on the tour is Richmond, VA. Make sure to tell all your friends who live in that area!

Instead of reinventing the wheel, I decided to let Sue Parks report in her own words on the event:
We held our second WeWhoWalk tour event on 5/31. Our second capital city was beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico. There is truly a special energy in Santa Fe. Some say it is because the town is built over crystals. I am personally not sure, but there was definitely great energy the morning of our walk. We could not have asked for a more perfect morning!
We started with a healthy breakfast at the old and charming La Fonda hotel. If you need a meeting place in Santa Fe and have a group, meet in the Terraza room on the second floor. It has a fireplace, three walls are all windows and open up to a great terrace. We had our group picture there!
After our brief meeting, 60 some walkers hit the road. There are so many points of interest along the route. There were cathedrals, amazing art galleries along Canyon Rd., a unique capitol building--the Roundhouse, the Georgia O'Keefe museum, other museums and more.
I walked for a couple of the miles with two new friends. It was so fun to learn more about Santa Fe from people who live there. Then, I connected with other groups and asked them how they enjoyed their walk. What was so fulfilling is that once again people were meeting new friends, business was being done, strategy sessions being held, exercise commitments being made, and more.
Many thanks to everyone who came to the walk. And a huge thanks go to Cathy Allen, our wonderful ambassador for Santa Fe. Many of Cathy's friends and collegues came for the walk and enjoyed the event together. Also, Susanna from Cathy's office designed the map! We are going to be posting it so anyone visiting Santa Fe can take this same 5 mile route.
Also, we were so fortunate to have new WalkStyles members join us. Many thanks for those of you who read about us in the local paper and came and walked.
Thanks, Santa Fe, for the great support! Next stop on the tour....Richmond, VA on 6/15. All Richmond WalkStyles members are welcome. Check the event page on the site. Remember, Live Well...Walk Far!
