The transition to a revamped SantaFeNewMexican.com has begun.
Shortly before noon Thursday, The New Mexican threw the switch on its re-designed Web site. During the next few hours, most readers will be automatically directed to the new site as their Internet Service Providers update their databases.
For some readers, the switch could take up to two days, depending on their service provider.
The new design was put together with the idea of making news and information more easily accessible. A mock-up of the design has been available for viewing during the past few weeks.
Response for the design concept has been overwhelmingly positive.
The design has evolved based on some of the feedback. And, it will continue to evolve as new features are rolled out.
