Robert Quintana, MarkMiller, Jesse Perez and Tom Robles plate egg cannelloni gambero with lobster béchamel— part of a four-course luncheon and wine seminar at the Coyote Cafe on Wednesday. Jeannette Anthony of Kansas City, Mo., right, checks out the color variety in two rosés during the luncheon. The $125-a-plate luncheon, which was organized around rosé wines from Spain, Italy, France and North America, helped kick off the 2007 Santa FeWine & Chile Fiesta.
The annual event, which ends Sunday, features two dozen fiesta sponsored educational luncheons, cooking demonstrations and wine seminars, and more than 30 wine dinners independently organized and hosted by Santa Fe restaurants.
Coyote Cafe owner Miller, who helped start the annual event in the back parking lot of the Sanbusco Center in 1991, is widely credited with bringing contemporary Southwestern cuisine to the attention of an international audience.
