Sam Goldenberg, age 67, passed away suddenly at his home in the presence of his loving long time partner and soul mate, Cheryl Jernigan.

Sam was a very caring and sensitive man with a “bigger than Life” personality. His booming voice and “can-do” attitude reflected the nature of this wonderful man.

Sam successfully operated a business brokerage firm in Santa Fe, “Sam Goldenberg & Associates, Inc. He was totally involved in his clients’ welfare, and was instrumental in assisting hundreds of New Mexicans realize their dream of owning their own business. In the process, he left his mark on so many clients, friends and neighbors. He gave 110% to everyone in his life.

He was a board member of the Quail Run Community Homeowners Association. He was known as a man of action, and his responsiveness to all members of the Quail Run Community was legendary. He was a generous contributor to many Santa Fe charities.

He was preceded in death by his parents Allan Goldenberg and Adele Averbook Goldenberg.

Sam was born in Los Angeles, CA, December 1939. He graduated from the University of Southern California, and served in the US Army Reserves. Throughout his life he owned several businesses before settling in Santa Fe, NM.

He is survived by Cheryl Jernigan; sons: Michael Goldenberg, Paul Goldenberg; daughter, Jillian Schloffel; daughter- in-law, Michele Goldenberg; son-in-law, Bruno Schloffel; granddaughter, Hayley Goldenberg; and grandson, Zayden Samuel Schloffel, due to be born September 24, 2007. He is also survived by sister, Judith Farber Weissman and husband, Jerry Weissman; and nieces: Trisha Sarkisian and Amy Farber. He also leaves his precious Yorkies, Stanley and Oliver.

Services will be at Quail Run today, Tuesday, at 1 p.m.
