Top 10 Deals of the Month for September 2006 - Trucks, Minivans and SUVs

Looking for a bargain? We've got 10. The following trucks, minivans and SUVs are our True Market ValueSM Deals of the Month, and they represent the best values we found in the marketplace. (Visit our Learn More About TMV® page for more information on TMV.)

To determine these rankings, we compared TMV prices with dealer invoice prices; we also considered current incentives and rebates. (Check our Incentives and Rebates page for further information on the various offers available.) Once incentives are factored in, many of the vehicles on our list can be purchased below invoice.

But our evaluation wasn't merely quantitative. We also took into account our impressions regarding each vehicle's overall quality and value offered for the money. When the dust settled, these are the haulers that came out on top.

1. 2006 GMC Yukon SLE: Seating up to nine passengers, the Yukon is an undeniable class leader in the full-size SUV segment. This month's incentives are almost as large as the mighty ute itself.

2. 2006 Lincoln Navigator Ultimate: The Navigator offers boatloads of style, handles well for its size and comes with a long list of luxury features. Incentives are generous this month, so if there's a luxury SUV in your future, this one is worth taking a look at.

3. 2006 Mercury Monterey Luxury: The Monterey loses some points due to handling that's somewhat less refined than the competition's; still, with its eye-catching looks, ample room and long list of safety features, this luxury minivan has a lot to offer. This month's rich incentives make it worth considering.

4. 2006 Dodge Ram Pickup 1500 Laramie: The Dodge Ram is an all-arounder like no other. It's rugged and capable enough to do all the things you expect from a big truck, yet it's also comfy enough to serve as a daily driver. This is a great time to buy, thanks to appealing incentives.

5. 2006 Nissan Titan LE: The Titan boasts a spacious cabin and a drivetrain that's one of the standouts in the full-size truck segment. This month's winning incentives make it hard to say no to this outstanding pickup.

6. 2006 Jeep Commander Limited: If you're looking for an SUV that's a star both on and off the pavement, look no further than the versatile Commander. You'll get a great deal, thanks to healthy incentives.

7. 2007 Buick Terraza CX: The Terraza trails class leaders in on-road refinement, but it's got sleek looks and a thoughtfully designed interior working in its favor. Current incentives make this Buick a true bargain.

8. 2006 Kia Sportage EX: With a plethora of standard safety equipment, a cabin you'll love spending time in and a low, low price, the Sportage is a standout when it comes to value. This month's favorable incentives make it even more of a steal.

9. 2006 Toyota Sequoia Limited: The Sequoia is blessed with Toyota reliability, nimble handling and an interior that brims with chameleonlike versatility. This month's low TMV prices mean you'll likely score yourself a deal on this capable hauler.

10. 2006 Chevrolet SSR: Equal parts muscle car, pickup and convertible, the SSR mates the open-air fun of a roadster with a pickup's utility. Favorable TMV prices make this a wonderful month to buy.
