www.SantaFeNewMexican.com has moved. Please update your bookmarks to http://www.santafenewmexican.com. This is an archived site and will not be updated with news and information beginning Oct. 11, 2007.
Present back through 1994: Click here to visit our formal, fully indexed archives, hosted by the company ProQuest archiver, which performs the same function for many other newspapers. (They even offer a link to search other archives.) This contains articles written by New Mexican staff and freelancers, but not our photos or graphics. It also does not include articles supplied by the Associated Press, syndicates, such as national opinion columns, or articles from other newspapers. There is no fee to search or read the first paragraph of the article, but there is a small fee to retrieve the full text. Fees per article drop dramatically if you need more than one, or know that you'll be using the archive regularly. Pay by secure credit card online. Customer service issues (wrong article, for example) can also be handled online by ProQuest, through their help link on the site. Note also that the archiving of articles is done by hand, and there may be a delay of one to four days, depending on what day the article appeared.
1993 all the way back to 1849: We do not have our own archives of older issues at present. Contact your local library for an interlibrary transfer of Santa Fe New Mexican microfilm, or call or visit the History Library on Washington Street near the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe, 505-476-5090.
Photos: If it's a current photo (since January 2006, you can purchase prints of most photos taken by our staff photographers through our online store in partnership with Pictopia. Visit the galleries on our site to locate the photo, and click the phrase "Buy this photo" or "Buy" to choose print size and frame. For older photos, contact photo@sfnewmexican.com, and specify as well as you can the date and subject of the photo, or the issue in which it appeared.
