Not only do we
not limit the length of your letters--posted online as Comments on this article-- but the Web editors approve comments more or less around the clock (longer delays outside of normal business hours, though), and letters will stay up 30 days.
Here's how to use this tool if you want Santafeans to see your letter but you're not local to Santa Fe, or if your letter is over 150 words long:
1. Click the Full Story link below.
2. Click the line "I want to read and/or post comments on this story."
3. Read the brief summary of the rules, then type or copy and paste into the window that appears, and click Submit. Note that the rule about excessive length does not apply to "Longer Letters."
4. As long as you haven't violated any of the other rules, an editor should approve your submission within a few minutes during working hours, and at irregular intervals at other times. If you have violated rules, you will receive an automated email with an explanation, so you can revise and resubmit.
NOTE: The name under which you registered will show up on the letter, but no other identifying information. Please include your city or town in your letter, and do *not* include your address and phone number in the text of your letter if you don't want it to be published.
If your letter is 150 words or less and you would like it considered for publication in our print edition,
