We've analyzed site usage patterns and noticed your favorites, and combined
these topics into one navigation section at the top for quick access. Most of
these links are familiar favorites, but we've added some new features as well:
Most read news:
based on real-time data, these are the most read news stories of the moment,
by number of "hits" ( how many times a story has been accessed).
Recent comments:
find out who's saying what at the moment (also note that on occasion the web
editor can reorder the front page by the number of comments).
Print edition:
A headline list and selected stories from today's print edition.
Topic list:
The site is now organized by a fluid network of searchable,
connected topics. Any article can “belong to”
more than one topic—so you can find articles different ways, or explore
their connections in different directions. You’ll see the list of associated
topics at the top of the article, and can follow those links to other articles
of interest. Think of it as a "mini-web".
This page is a complete list of all topics currently on the site, allowing you
to choose your interest by category rather than sorting through an imposed hierarchical
structure. You can also think of it as a pre-built search index.
