February 2, 2005

Paul graduated with a B.A. from the music department at California State University, Fullerton studying guitar and lute. He is a long time student of Ali Akbar Khansahib studying sarod, guitar and tabla at the Ali Akbar Khan music school in San Rafael, California. He now plays a "chikari string" guitar; a guitar with extra strings to produce the drone sound of Indian Instruments. In October of 2003 he released the CD Music and Beyond containing the music of India, Ireland and medieval Europe. The CD samples reveal a masterful and honest integration of all these influences; what most world music should be.

A music teacher for many years, he recently moved to Santa Fe. He teaches guitar and the music of India, as well as music for meditation classes. He can be reached at bjorgan@cybermesa.com or at 983-2228.
