School registration: What parents need to know

Keep in Mind that Your Child's edu statistics may be flawed on purpose in States like NM and courtesy of the Fed's No Child Left Behind Plan.

The State's unfair pocketing of tax funds from the res, does make it easy to keep the doors open there...because there are so few school buildings and many with NO doors anyway (wore out years ago). But West slope weather is always nice and outdoors is a decent edu theatre.

In 2004 when GW announced No Child Left Behind, Fed funding for Indian Schools was CUT by $80,000,000 per annum (perhaps if the other kids LAP em..then they're not left behind right?).

And on New Mexico's edu funding for schools on the res, many find it most amazing that some schools in SF and Albq are allotted $5,000 to $10,000 per student and achieve a 30% to 40% Dropout rate.  At the same time the res schools are allotted right at $1,100 per student, with the very Worst dropout rate at one school being 38% but the rest at approx 1.8%.

Makes one wonder if LESS funding in fact achieves MUCH higher edu successes (at least on getting them Completely thru school).
